Brooks Macdonald International’s discretionary investment management services added to Glacier International’s Global Life Plan

Brooks Macdonald International (BMI) today announces that its discretionary investment management services are now available to offshore investors through Glacier International’s Global Life Plan.

Users of the Global Life Plan will have access to BMI’s full range of offshore segregated discretionary services, including its range of risk-rated, multi-asset and single strategy (bond and equity) portfolios, which are available in multi-currency options and for a variety of entry levels.                                                                                      

BMAM awarded ARC 3D award

Brooks Macdonald International wins Personal Trust International mandate in South Africa

Brooks Macdonald International (BMI) today announces that it has won a mandate to manage half of all South African based Personal Trust International’s (PTI) existing offshore portfolios, which are registered under PTI Guernsey Limited.

The mandate, totalling US $40 million, will be split across Personal Trust International’s two offshore registered funds. BMI will be responsible for managing half of the circa $80 million assets of each of the US dollar-denominated funds.

Global stock markets have had a tough few weeks, with most markets having fallen by more than 10% from their peaks, indicating that an “official” correction is underway. The core government bond markets, on the other hand, have rallied hard and yields have fallen across all maturities on UK Gilts and US Treasuries. Commodity prices have also tumbled including oil. The main trigger for these moves appears to be a fear that the Chinese economy is slowing more than expected, increasing the risk of a hard landing.
